Our engineering department is the driving force behind our innovative and reliable solutions. We are involved in the entire development process, from initial ideas and concept development to the final design of steel structures, lifting equipment, machines, and process plants.
We design everything from simple lifting beams to complex lifting equipment with mechanical functions, and our technical specialists work according to applicable directives and standards in accordance with EN, ISO and DNV.
With a focus on functionality, safety and efficiency, we develop unique customer-specific machines and equipment that solve your challenges.
Close collaboration between departments creates overview
We have extensive experience in developing complex mechanical systems and load-bearing steel structures with high functional and structural integrity.
For 3D modeling, we use Autodesk Inventor, where we build complete assemblies with moving parts, tolerances and design parameters. From here, detailed 2D drawings are generated for production, always with a focus on precision.
The drawings are passed on to our manufacturing and production department, with whom we are in close dialogue throughout the project.
Calculations are not just a requirement, they are a central part of our technical foundation. We combine analytical calculations and advanced FEM analyses (Finite Element Method) to ensure that our solutions not only look right on paper – but also work in practice.
We perform strength and stability calculations on load-bearing structures and special equipment in accordance with applicable standards and directives, including EN 1993 (Eurocode 3), the Machinery Directive and relevant DNV requirements. This gives you documented safety and confidence that the structures can withstand the loads to which they are exposed, both statically and dynamically.
Our calculation work includes:
Linear and non-linear FEM analyses in Autodesk Inventor / Nastran
Analytical calculations with PTC Mathcad Prime
Load combinations, stress analysis and deformation assessments
Bolt, weld and bearing fatigue calculations
Assessment of local failure mechanisms and buckling
The calculations are integrated into our entire development process, from the early design choices to the final validation. They support the construction’s function, economy and manufacturability, and are actively used to optimize geometry, material thicknesses and joints.
When we say that our solutions hold up, it’s because we’ve calculated it.
We emphasize close collaboration and are convinced that this creates the best solutions. The engineering department, therefore, also works closely with our project management and production teams, which ensures a smooth transition from development to manufacturing, and a high degree of quality assurance in all phases.
