Do you want to solve exciting tasks right from the start of your apprenticeship? From day one, you’ll be part of the team with real tasks, real responsibility, and the opportunity to learn a craft from the ground up. You’ll get to weld, assemble, and solve tasks both in the workshop and at customers’ locations, and we promise it will never be boring.
We believe that you learn best by getting your hands dirty, not by standing and watching. Of course, there is always help and sparring at hand, but we also expect you to dare to take charge, think for yourself, and come up with ideas. You get to follow the process all the way, from the first sketches to the finished product. And even though we have control over the professional aspects, there is fortunately also room for good humor, bad jokes, and laughter in everyday life.
Here, we are not just colleagues, we are a community. And as an apprentice, you become part of it from the start. You become an important part of both the team on the floor and our apprentice club, where we do all sorts of fun things together. Here you can count on go-karting, fishing trips, cozy evenings, and lots of good atmosphere, both during and outside working hours.
We know that the professional aspect is important. But we also know that you learn best and thrive best when you feel good and feel like you are part of something bigger. Therefore, we make an effort to ensure that you get both strong skills and strong friendships with you.
As one of our apprentices says:
“We apprentices have a really good community, and we’ve made real friendships from it.”
We could tell you how great it is to be an apprentice with us. But it’s better if you hear it from Viktor and Magnus themselves.
Are you dreaming of an apprenticeship where you actually learn something – and don’t just stand and watch? Where there is room for both professionalism and fun, and where you become part of a team that has your back? Then you have landed in the right place.
We continuously take in new apprentices as blacksmiths, and no, you don’t have to be born with a welding machine in your hand. The most important thing for us is that you are curious, ready to learn, and not afraid to take charge. Then we will help you with the rest.
Send your application today, we look forward to hearing from you!
They hadn’t really imagined a future as blacksmiths when they started on Basic Course 1.
It was mostly to try it out, and it turned out to be a surprisingly good match.
They quickly got hooked on the profession and chose the same study program. They were initially here with us for a week as interns, before it was later changed to an apprenticeship.
Today, they work with welding and assembly for companies in the food industry and offshore sector, among others. They go out to customers, take measurements, sketch solutions, and assemble them afterward. They find that combination appealing.
“” Assembly is cool, and you’re involved all the way. Going out and measuring, drawing a solution, making it, and assembling it. I like that you have to think for yourself and come up with solutions,“” says Magnus.
Most assembly tasks are solved with a partner, but the apprentices also work independently. And that’s something they really appreciate:
“” We are allowed to do a lot. We are challenged and get the responsibility we want. You feel like you’re accomplishing something,“” explains Viktor.
Both Magnus and Viktor emphasize how much the social aspect means in everyday life. Here in the company, there is a short distance between apprentice and journeyman.
“” We talk young and old. You can make fun of each other, both ways.“”
The good camaraderie doesn’t stop at closing time. Viktor and Magnus regularly participate in social events, including the so-called apprentice club, where our apprentices get trips out of the house.
“” We apprentices have a really good community. In the apprentice club, we recently went go-karting, and now we’re going on a fishing trip soon. The focus is on us having a good time together.“”
Magnus and Viktor have not only found an apprenticeship that makes sense professionally, but also socially:
“” We have made real friendships out of it.“”
“” I always thought steel was cooler than anything else. I had to try that too.“”
With help and support from her father, she found her way to the blacksmith profession, and today she is an apprentice as a stainless steel fitter at Mi Steelwork.
At Mi Steelwork, Lea gets to try her hand at a little of everything, and that suits her really well.
“” We do all sorts of things. There’s a lot of welding, and I’m also involved in installation. I like to weld, prepare, and have control over the drawings. The drilling and drilling… that’s not the most fun,“” she says with a grin.
One of the things Lea appreciates most is the trust she encounters in her daily life – and the opportunity she gets to develop.
“” You can try a lot without getting slammed. We get responsibility, even though we are “” just “” apprentices. When I hear what others do at their apprenticeship, I know I’m lucky. It really helps to develop.“”
She is often involved from the beginning to the end of a project, and it gives her a feeling that she has helped create something.
“” It’s great to be involved from start to finish. See something in a drawing and then stand with the finished product in your hands. It’s a good feeling.“”
But it’s not just the professionalism that makes Lea happy to come in every day. She thinks the environment and culture in the company are top-notch:
“” Socially, it’s absolutely great. There is a good tone – cheerful and relaxed. Our community is brilliantly good, and you just get happy from coming to work.“”
Man føler man udretter noget,’’ forklarer Viktor.
